Poles, poles, and more poles!

marianne090

There was a very good turnout of 16 riders split into four groups for the polework clinic with Zoe Bennett at Wakes End on Sunday.

Each group worked through six different pole exercises that were designed to get the horses working correctly through their bodies to aid suppleness, and also to get both horse and rider thinking!

These exercises ranged from ones needing lots of poles, to some using only four poles, so the riders came away from the clinic with lots of ideas to practice at home that don't necessarily need lots of poles out. Even our spectators felt they had learnt things and have taken from the clinic!

Lots of happy horses and riders, a happy trainer, lots of positive feedback with requests to run this type of clinic again and even the weather smiled on us!
